What makes a dark caster read
Every LARP system has its dark caster. Empire has its winter-coven plotters, Drachenfest has its blood mages, Curious Pastimes has its faction-tied warlocks and necromancers. The visual language is consistent across systems, and it comes down to four signals.
The four signals
Palette
Black-on-black, sometimes with a grey or red accent. Never bright, never natural fabric tones. The colour signals the character before they speak.
Cut and silhouette
Long lines, panels that flow when the character moves, and an ornate or theatrical shape. The Medieval Necromancer Set uses a suede-effect mid-layer with flowing panels and ornate braiding. The Blood Mage Set goes further with a three-layer outer piece from LARP Cloaks & Robes (short front, long back) that sweeps when the character turns.
Head and neck
Optional but powerful. The Mystic Warlock Set pairs a black suede-effect mid-layer with a woollen wrap from LARP Hoods & Mantles. The Battle Mage Dark Set goes denser with an ornate faux leather wrap, fleece-lined and clasp-fastened. Hooded reads as committed; bare-headed reads as confident.
Hand and waist
Forearm guards in faux leather with built-in dagger sheaths from LARP Leather Armour (Mystic Warlock, Dark Warrior). Silver-trim woollen wraps from LARP Belts & Sashes with metal accents (Battle Mage Dark). The studded V-front mid-layer of the Dark Warrior Set. Details earn the dark caster silhouette versus a generic dark outfit.
Which set for which build
A pure necromancer reads cleanest in the Medieval Necromancer or Blood Mage Set, with the outer layer carrying the look. A combat warlock benefits from the Mystic Warlock or Battle Mage Dark Set, with forearm guards and mid-layer for active play. Vampire, cultist or demon-pact builds cross into Blood Mage or Dark Warrior territory. Chow's product copy tags these sets for warlock, necromancer, vampire, cultist, mystic, demon, lich, knight and assassin builds.
All Chows Emporium products are one size, with measurements on each individual product page if you have a question about measurements before ordering.

Pick the outer layer first if you want silhouette to lead. Pick the mid-layer first if you want combat-ready.
